Equity in FHS

Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Decolonization, and Accessibility

We, at the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) at 深夜福利站 believe that Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Decolonization, and Accessibility (EDIDA) must shape every aspect of our work. We begin with acknowledging and confronting the systemic inequities, oppression, and racism that persist in university structures. We are committed to integrating these principles into all areas of our curriculum, research, and daily practices. We strive to foster a community where every student, staff member, and faculty can thrive in an atmosphere of respect and belonging.

As educators of future healthcare professionals, we are committed to teaching equity-oriented healthcare, cultural safety, trauma- and violence-informed practices, harm reduction, social justice, decolonization, anti-racism, and global solidarity. Our goal is to empower our students to become leaders in transformative healthcare, equipped with the knowledge and skills to advocate for and provide care that meets the needs of all communities.

Our Commitment to the FHS Community

  • We commit to creating inclusive and equitable spaces, services, and learning opportunities, recognizing that we are not placing the onus of change on marginalized groups; instead, those with privilege must actively lead efforts to dismantle systemic barriers and foster true inclusivity.
  • We promise transparency and accountability in our actions, ensuring they are meaningful and not merely performative.
  • We are dedicated to listening and learning, taking actionable steps each day to hold ourselves accountable as we strive for a more inclusive future.
