About Our Program


ÉîÒ¹¸£ÀûÕ¾’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) program will immerse you in dynamic, hands-on learning every semester starting in year one. Through clinical simulation and clinical skills labs, simulated patients, flexible learning modalities, and diverse clinical placements, you'll gain confidence and clinical judgment in real-world settings.

In the BScN program, you’ll complete eight semesters accelerated over 43 months, including courses during the summer term of your final year — giving you a head start on entering the workforce.

Admissions & Applications


All students applying to the Direct Entry 3.5 year Bachelor of Science in Nursing program do so through the , choosing program code 'ENW' for ÉîÒ¹¸£ÀûÕ¾. The ITR process has been discontinued for all Nursing programs. All applicants, including current ÉîÒ¹¸£ÀûÕ¾ students, must apply through the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) to be considered for admission.

Applicants must complete an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and have a minimum of six Grade 12 U and/or M-level courses (excluding co-op courses), including the prerequisite courses with a minimum grade of 70% in each.

REQUIRED - 70% in each of:

  • English ENG4U
  • Biology SBI4U
  • Chemistry SCH4U

and one of:

  • Functions and Applications MCF3M
  • Functions MCR3U

NOTE: If an applicant does not meet the minimum Math requirement in one of the Grade 11 prerequisites, ÉîÒ¹¸£ÀûÕ¾ will check for a minimum of 70% in one of Advanced Functions MHF4U, Calculus and Vectors MCV4U, or Math of Data Management MDM4U.

Applicants from other provinces in Canada are eligible to apply for admission on the basis of their Secondary School Diploma from their province if they have the appropriate prerequisite courses and meet the admission requirements of ÉîÒ¹¸£ÀûÕ¾. All applicants from other provinces in Canada must have completed the following acceptable academic Grade 12 courses with a minimum of 70% in each:

Practice Placements

Gain valuable real-world experience from working shifts at practice sites under the guidance of expert preceptors. Practice placements are an integral component of experiential learning within the curriculum for the 3.5 year BScN program, occurring in all years and levels of the program.

Program Structure

Starting in the first semester, you'll begin building clinical skills in a simulated setting. Delivered over eight consecutive semesters, the program progresses from foundational nursing and health science concepts to advanced clinical decision‑making, supported by simulation-based training and clinical placements. With a strong emphasis on experiential, practice-focused learning, you'll apply theory in real healthcare settings while developing clinical skills, confidence, and professional judgment.
