How can I help?

The Northern Tornadoes Project often gets correspondence from people passionate about severe storms asking how they can help with the NTP mission. There are a few answers here.

If you are in a university undergraduate program in Canada (doesn't matter what program!), you can apply to become a summer intern. The CSSL takes on about 25 interns per year and applications are typically due near the beginning of the year. See here for details.

Also, while we are unable to bring on volunteer staff, we do have a 'Super-Contributor' program. Super-Contributors have demonstrated a high level of severe weather knowledge (e.g., through CanWarn or SkyWarn training) and a commitment to thorough and factual reports of potential tornadoes and/or thunderstorm-related wind damage. They sometimes provide key information that helps to move our investigations forward. And in exchange, we ship out an NTP baseball cap! We currently have 24 Super-Contributors on board (see below), and we get more requests every year (just send an email to ntpmedia @ uwo.ca).

Many thanks to our Super-Contributors!
