Where do tornadoes occur in Canada?
Tornadoes have been recorded in every province and territory in Canada. However, tornadoes occur most frequently in two areas - from southern Alberta across southern Saskatchewan and southern Manitoba to northwestern Ontario, and from southern Ontario across southern Quebec to New Brunswick. These areas are extensions of tornado-active areas in the United States, though separated by an area of low frequency caused by the stabilizing influence of the relatively cool northern Great Lakes.
