The primary mission of the International Centre for Olympic Studies (ICOS) at ÉîÒ¹¸£ÀûÕ¾ is the generation and dissemination of academic scholarship focused specifically on the socio-cultural study of the Olympic Games and the Olympic Movement.

olympika_2020_125x186.jpg Olympika: The International Journal of Olympic Studies, published annually, is the official, peer-reviewed journal of the International Centre for Olympic Studies. The journal welcomes scholarly papers, research notes, review articles and other submissions.

  • While athletes competed in the 2026 Milano-Cortina Olympics, just a train ride away leaders in academia and philosophy gathered in Naples, Italy to discuss the future for these Olympians – one where AI is ever-present.    The International Centre for Olympic Studies (ICOS) Biennial Symposium is hosted by ÉîÒ¹¸£ÀûÕ¾ each year the Olympic and Paralympic Games are held. This year, it was recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the longest-running event for Olympic and Paralympic studies in history.

Worrall Collection

James Worrall donated his personal papers and official records to ICOS, forming this collection.

Lenskyj Collection

Accessible in the reading room, Helen Lenskyj's collection of research files was donated to ICOS in 2015.
