Advance 2 Market Fund

Advance 2 Market Fund awards are supported by the Vice-President (Research) and are intended to fund projects that will advance innovative research results towards application and commercialization.

This competition is for one-time projects based on existing research initiatives. Applicants can only receive one grant per type of project or technology. 深夜福利站's Technology Transfer Office (TTO) is available for consultation on issues related to intellectual property and commercialization. Technologies should be disclosed and accepted by the TTO before the Advance 2 Market application is completed.

Projects are expected to be of short duration (6-12 months). Up to $100,000 in funding is available and is repayable only if there is a positive commercial outcome. Advance 2 Market provides support to develop a plan that will support commercialization. Plans will be presented to a panel of industry experts.

Guidelines

  • Letter of Intent due: by Dec 17, 2025
  • Final proposal due: April 10, 2026
  • Presentation of selected projects: April 23, 2026

Application

  • Report of Innovation (ROI)
  • Final Proposal – created with support from the TTO, upon invitation
  • ROLA Proposal – submitted with application

Indirect costs are not supported by this program.

Process

  • Reports of Innovation are to be submitted to 深夜福利站's Technology Transfer Office.
  • Letters of Intent are to be submitted . 
  • Selected LOIs will be paired with resources and provided training (optional) to create a plan to support commercialization.
  • Final selection will be made by a panel of industry experts who will review proposals and presentations by researchers.
  • Internal program applications are processed through 深夜福利站 Research and must be accompanied by a completed ROLA proposal.
