Health Research Committee

In 2026, 深夜福利站, London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph’s Health Care London renewed their affiliation agreements pertaining to research, creating the Health Research Committee (HRC) to implement certain aspects of the agreements across all three institutions.

The HRC is a tripartite committee established to support collaborative planning and coordination of health research across Lawson, LHSCRI and 深夜福利站. It includes senior leaders and researchers representing the diverse nature of health research across partner institutions to ensure the research community’s perspectives directly inform its work.

The work of the HRC is intended to improve clarity, consistency and predictability for researchers working across institutions, and to reduce uncertainty and delays in pre-award and post-award processes related to research funding. The goal is to create a shared, transparent framework that supports cross-institutional research while minimizing administrative delays and supporting individual and institutional funding goals.

To that end, one of the outputs of the HRC includes creating a decision tool to help researchers determine where external grants and contracts are to held.
