An interdisciplinary approach

I chose Family Studies & Human Development because it offers an interdisciplinary approach, allowing me to explore real-life issues that families face both in Canada and around the world. This program has deepened my understanding of the dynamics within Canadian families and given me the chance to apply this knowledge meaningfully. I was also drawn to Family Studies as it aligns with my goal of becoming a high school teacher.

Personally, I found the program empowering; it helped me develop my leadership and communication skills, preparing me to better support the students I will serve as a future educator.
